Seven men have been charged in connection with a major child sexual exploitation investigation in Bristol, according to a recent update from Avon and Somerset Police. The alleged offences relate to incidents involving a child between 2021 and 2022, following a lengthy and complex investigation by specialist officers.
The charges brought against the men include rape of a child under 13, sexual activity with a child, causing or inciting sexual activity, and arranging or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a child. All seven men are due to appear before Bristol Magistrates' Court in the coming weeks.
Cases of this nature are deeply distressing, and investigations can be traumatic for victims and their families. If you or someone close to you has been affected by sexual abuse in any form, Lyons Solicitors’ specialist Sexual Abuse Claims Solicitors are here to support you.

Police confirmed that the charges follow a major investigation that began in November 2023 after concerns were raised about the exploitation of a teenage girl in Bristol. Initial arrests were made in April 2024, with a specialist team continuing to uncover further alleged offences.
On 11 November, officers carried out a targeted operation, re-arresting seven men who are now charged with more than 40 offences committed between 2022 and 2025. The charges relate to 11 teenage victims and include multiple counts of rape, sexual assault, attempted rape, and arranging or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a child.
Senior officers have described the investigation as complex and sensitive, with safeguarding measures put in place to protect each victim. Police have increased reassurance patrols in Bristol and are urging anyone with concerns or information about exploitation to contact them.
Understanding the complexity and emotional weight of such cases, Lyons Solicitors recognise how difficult it can be for survivors or their families to even consider seeking legal advice. However, early support can make a vital difference.
At Lyons Solicitors, we provide specialist support for survivors of sexual abuse, child abuse and exploitation. Our Abuse Claims Solicitors offer calm, trauma-informed guidance to help you understand your rights and take the next steps safely and with confidence.
We can help you explore your legal options, which may include:
This government scheme provides compensation to victims of violent crime, including survivors of child sexual abuse. You may be eligible even if no conviction has been secured, as long as the abuse has been reported to the police. We can guide you through the application process and help you present the strongest possible claim.
You may be able to pursue a civil claim for compensation directly against the perpetrator. Where a criminal conviction has been obtained, this can significantly strengthen the evidence in support of your civil case.
If the abuse took place in an environment such as a school, sports club, religious organisation, care home or youth setting, the institution responsible for safeguarding may be legally liable. We can advise on whether the organisation failed in its duty of care and help you pursue accountability.
We work closely with counsellors, psychologists and experienced barristers to ensure you receive sensitive, holistic support throughout the process. Wherever appropriate, we offer no win, no fee arrangements to minimise financial risk and make it easier for you to access justice.
If you or someone you care about has been affected by the issues raised in this investigation, please know that you are not alone. Seeking support is an important step, and our specialist solicitors are here to help you do so safely and confidently.
To arrange a free initial appointment in Kingswood, Westbury-on-Trym or Chew Magna, or to request a home visit, please contact our Abuse Claims Solicitors today. You can speak to us in complete confidence, and we will guide you through your options with empathy, clarity and care.
